Alli???…

Ok, I purchased the starter pack of Alli, but haven’t started taking it yet.  I am already on a low fat, low calorie diet so I thought this would help.  Is anyone else on this plan?  The weekly menu they give has more calories than I am comfortable eating everyday, so I think I will stick to what I am already doing and add the pills.  There are some side effects so they suggest starting when you will be close to home.  I think I will start on Friday.

I would love to hear from anyone on the Alli plan.  Do you like it, how is it working and are the side effect bad?

I did one round of this. If you follow the plan to a T, it does work. The one week I did follow it to the T I dropped FIVE pounds…However, I too struggled with the high calorie levels and I had a super hard time switching from counting calories to fat grams. I am also not a good person taking three pills a day. So I stopped. The side affects werent horrible, but they did happen, and, umm, well, they are messy…So just be preparred for that. I do beleive this is a doable plan to kick start your weight loss, but you must follow it the way they say…

I’ve never tried it. The people I know that have, have had very good “starter” results. The average weight loss with Alli according to the reserch I’ve done on it is 1-3lbs a month, which would discourage me to no end lol. The side effects like Dawn said are…messy to say the least. A very close friend of mine who is on Alli def recommened that you keep a toilet close by with quick and easy access. But it does work and turns you on the healthy low fat eating habits! Have a great week!

I do use this product, but only when I have a meal that is high in fat. Otherwise it really doesn’t help because how it works is in blocking fat absorption. Most of the time I have very low fat in my diet anyway, that is why I don’t take it very often. I do think that it helps and I for one don’t suffer from the messy side effects. Good luck to you! :o)
